The Mira Mesa High School AVID Program has recently been Nationally Certified. Beginning in 1986, AVID was started to provide an opportunity for all students to have access to college. AVID is dedicated to preparing under-represented students for higher education.

Mira Mesa High School is one of the three original AVID schools. On behalf of the high school and the AVID site team, we congratulate the AVID students for their hard work and dedication. The AVID program receiving National Certification is an honor Mira Mesa High School can be incredibly proud of.
