Mira Mesa High School's CCTE (College, Career and Technical Education) courses allow students leadership opportunities, grant exposure to industry, and to experience projects within specific career fields.
MMHS currently offers CCTE classes in 6 of California's leading Industry Sectors. Our courses allow students to follow guided career pathways into those Industry Sectors. Pathways at Mira Mesa include: Biotechnology, Design, Visual and Media Arts, Engineering Technology, Food Service and Hospitality, Graphic Production, Hospitality Tourism and Recreation, Production and Managerial Arts, and System Diagnostics, Service and Repair.
All courses include basic workplace skills interlaced throughout a common “All Aspects” portion of the curriculum. Several courses are articulated with local community colleges and receive college credit through dual enrollment, or the Tech Prep programs. Many of these courses also receive a weighted academic score.
